VULCAN TALOS V2.0 - Multi Functional Cable Pulley Attachment + Power Rack

Pre Order FAQS

Talos V2.0 Designed Through Iteration, Not Reaction!

Talos was engineered from the beginning as a modular system intended to evolve over time. From the moment the first production units shipped, internal testing, mechanical review, and real-world use were already informing the next refinement cycle.

Talos V2.0 is the result of that process.

The updates introduced in this version were not created in response to outside commentary, social media discussion, or public opinion. They were planned well in advance as part of a normal product development timeline. Many early customers were informed at the time of purchase that a V2.0 refinement cycle was already underway.

What changed in V2.0 is not the intent or capability of Talos, but the level of refinement and versatility.

The fundamental cable routing and geometry remain unchanged. Instead, Talos V2.0 adds pulley options and revised pulley brackets to enhance cable travel and overall feel across a wider range of movements. Swivel equipped pulleys at the low row and lat pull down allow the cable to follow the direction of force more naturally, while the elevated low row pulley improves rowing mechanics. Additional refinements, including a centralized attachment adapter and an integrated trolley cable tensioner, improve usability and adjustment without altering the core structure of the system.

This is how serious equipment is built.

Advanced strength systems are not static products. They are engineered platforms that mature through use, validation, and refinement. Talos V2.0 reflects that reality. It represents the next step in an ongoing development process guided by engineering priorities rather than external narratives.

If you are comparing versions, understand this clearly. Talos V2.0 exists because it was always part of the plan. It is not a correction. It is an evolution.

And it will not be the last.

The Vulcan Talos
The Vulcan TALOS cable power rack serves as a highly specialized All-In-One gym, functional trainer and Lat-pulldown/low row module, seamlessly compatible with your existing Vulcan Power Rack. Compatible with: VPR-SLIMFITPOWER, VPR-CSTM, VPR-1,VPR-2.

This integration optimizes space utilization while retaining the principal features of your original equipment. Taking its name from the mythological TALOS—a bronze bull forged by Hephaestus (VULCAN) to protect the island of Crete—the Vulcan TALOS is engineered to fortify your training regimen.

Equipped with dual weight stacks, each with a standard weight stacks of 300 lbs., the Vulcan TALOS offers the facility for unilateral exercise modes. Alternatively, both stacks can be synchronized for bilateral movements requiring greater weight resistance, such as Lat pulldowns, and low rows. Both Stacks face the user and allow for quick, easy and viewable weight selection.

The unit incorporates slider mechanisms outfitted with plastic rollers to facilitate effortless height adjustment. Front pulleys on the TALOS are engineered to swivel through a 180-degree range, thereby extending the scope of exercises both within and outside the rack framework. Heavy duty cables (1200lb capacity) operate smoothly on billet aluminum pulleys. The cables are totally out of the lifters way, not offering the danger of tripping or snagging a cable with your foot navigating around the power rack or during use.

The weight stacks are constructed from hot-rolled steel plates with a precision-machined finish, ensuring uniform weight and easy engagement with the magnetized selector pin. An exterior shroud, finished in textured black and detailed with VULCAN laser cut logo with stainless steel backing

The Vulcan TALOS operates on a 2:1 resistance ratio, translating a 100 lbs. weight selection into an effective load of 50 lbs. - a setting conducive to functional training applications. The attachment comes with an array of accessories, including a footplate for low rows, D-handles, a chrome Lat pulldown bar and low row bar with knurled grip.

Frequently Asked Questions - Vulcan TALOS V2.0 Power Rack

What is Talos V2.0?
Talos V2.0 is a refined version of the Talos modular strength system. It builds on the original platform by adding pulley options, increasing movement freedom, and improving fine adjustment while maintaining the same core structure.
Why was Talos V2.0 introduced?
Talos V2.0 was introduced as part of a planned refinement cycle. Development began before early production units shipped, and many initial customers were informed that a V2.0 update was already in development. It was not created in response to public commentary.
Does Talos V2.0 fix a problem with the original Talos?
No. Talos V2.0 does not correct a defect or failure. The original Talos performs as designed. Version 2.0 adds refinement through additional pulley configurations and adjustment features.
What are the main changes in Talos V2.0?
  • A higher low row pulley position to improve rowing angle
  • Swivel pulleys on the low row for multi-directional movement
  • Swivel pulleys on the lat pull down to support different grip widths and angles
  • Revised pulley brackets that allow additional pulleys to be added
  • A single attachment adapter for pull down bars
  • A screw type cable tensioner on the trolley for small visual tension adjustments
Did the cable geometry change in V2.0?
No. The cable routing geometry remains the same. Talos V2.0 adds pulleys to improve cable travel and feel, not to change the fundamental path of the system.
Why was the low row pulley raised?
The higher low row pulley reduces excessive downward pull and places the cable closer to a natural rowing path, improving consistency across a wider range of rowing movements.
What do swivel pulleys change?
Swivel pulleys allow the cable to follow the direction of force instead of forcing a fixed path. This improves feel during angled pulls, single-arm movements, and offset exercises.
Does Talos V2.0 change the rack footprint or structure?
No. The frame, footprint, and structural design remain unchanged. Talos V2.0 builds on the existing platform.
What does the trolley cable tensioner do?
The integrated screw type tensioner allows fine adjustment of visible cable slack without changing cable length or cable routing.
Is Talos V2.0 required to use the system properly?
No. The original Talos provides full intended functionality. Talos V2.0 expands movement options and adjustment range.
Is Talos V2.0 available as an upgrade for existing Talos owners?
Yes. Talos V2.0 is available as a facelift kit that is compatible with Talos v1.0 systems. The kit includes the updated pulley brackets, additional pulleys, and revised cables required for the V2.0 configuration. The original v1.0 trolleys do not need to be replaced.
Were early customers informed about future updates?
Yes. Many early customers were informed at the time of purchase that a V2.0 refinement cycle was already underway.
Will there be future versions of Talos?
Yes. Talos is designed as an evolving system. Further refinements and expansions are expected over time.
Can you exercise within the TALOS?
Yes, the inner dimension is 18", which is the minimum depth for any functional power rack. Squats, military press, shrugs, and rack pulls can all be done inside the rack due to the centrally located, flush-mounted weight stacks at the rear. A flat bench can be used inside, but incline bench press should be done outside. Safety spotters and half rack conversion feet can be added to configure a TALOS Half Rack.
Can Jammer arms be used on the TALOS?
Yes. Our drop-in jammer arms are the best fit for the TALOS or FORGE. When not in use, they can be easily and quickly removed without hand tools and stored on the rack. Standard jammer arms can sometimes be in the way and limit pulley trolley use.
What is the cable travel?
The cable travel is 89". The weight stack sits 6" from the floor, positioning the bottom pulley ideally for low rows that target the mid-back muscles. The pulley setup mimics a commercial gym’s low pull/lat pulldown height for better biomechanics. The upright height is 92.1", keeping the total height under 95" while maintaining optimal function.
Can the Vulcan TALOS be used separately as a power rack?
Yes. The TALOS can be used as a standalone power rack. It’s an excellent option for those whose current racks aren’t compatible. Its minimal footprint allows easy placement in most gyms, offering a cost-effective and space-efficient multifunctional trainer solution.
Is the Vulcan TALOS compatible with other brand power racks?
No. The TALOS is designed specifically for Vulcan Power Racks. Hole spacing, alignment, and tolerances vary significantly across brands. Compatibility or retrofitting with other racks is not guaranteed or supported.
Does it need to be bolted down?
Yes, bolting the TALOS to the floor is highly recommended for maximum safety and stability. The rack includes pre-drilled bolting holes on the support feet and hardware for secure installation.
Do the feet in the back take up a lot of space and can they be removed?
No, the feet extend only a couple of inches beyond the pulleys, requiring minimal space from the wall. They are bolt-on components and can be removed if necessary.
